The samba schools start practicing for Carnival way in advance. This means composing songs, dance practicing, creating the costumes and building the floats. Some of the big schools open up their doors to visitors to come witness a carnival rehearsal at the samba school. Don’t miss one of the best things to do in the city of samba and the perfect opportunity to be part of the spirit and magic that is behind one of the biggest events in the world the Rio Carnival!
