Excellent overview of the creation of the garden and of the plant types, where they come from and what they were used for. Really enjoyed it.
Wonderful tour of gardens

I enjoyed this tour for one reason. Our guide JP was delightful - informed, gentlemanly and very amusing. His knowledge of the plants and history of Rio de Janeiro was encyclopaedic. The garden is very beautiful and well worth the visit - the avenues of gigantic palm trees alone are breath taking but there is an orchidarium, bromelario and many things in between.

My only disappointment was the fact I had to find my way to Copacobana palace and back after the ticket said hotel pick up.
Pretty gardens.

This is a very easy walking garden. Didn’t see as many orchids as I expected but they did have some unusual varieties. A little confusing on how to follow the paths.
