This was an amazing day spent in Rio! We had such a great guide with Rafael. He was highly knowledgeable and shared so much of Rio’s history with. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Although it was a cloudy day we did go up to Christ the Redeemer and the clouds cleared. The whole day was absolutely wonderful!

Great one day private tour of Rio

We loved our excursion. Fabiana and driver Junior showed us much of Rio and made it easier by having a private, clean car (I have an ankle injury). Even though the weather was inclement, mostly a problem with fog and an occasional sprinkle, Fabiana worked around that by showing indoor venues when appropriate. We only missed Christ the Redeemer which was lost in the fog. Fabiana‘s excellent English knowledge of the city and its history and her bubbly personality made for a wonderful excursion in the time we had in Rio. We highly recommend Marcelo‘s tour and hope to make it back to Rio to call on the team again.

Weather no fault of tour guide but exceptional service

Our tour guide and driver were fabulous. We got to see everything we wanted in spite of the questionable weather which consisted of rain all day and Christ and Sugar Loaf being up in a cloud with no view of Rio to be had.

Our trip was a perfect experience, you need to have knowledgeable people who can coordinate your day. We literally checked off every attraction had lunch and it was safe at every moment. Julio was our guide, he knows everyone and was terrific! He is a true professional! Our driver Anthony was always ready it was so easy!
Would highly recommend! And if possible ask for these two!

Great way to get to know Rio!

We did two tours with Be Free Tours and they were both outstanding! You can be confident in booking that they will be very flexible, accommodating, and make sure that you see all the sites you want to see! We did a half day tour with Rafael, who did a great job telling us about the history of Brazil and Rio and showing us all the best sites in downtown. We did an airport pickup this day and Marcelo and Rafael were waiting for us on time, with a comfortable car, and very friendly and communicative throughout. Marcelo talked to us a lot before the tour to confirm our interests, see how we wanted to spend our time, and make recommendations. Then we did the Christo and Sugar Loaf tour with Fabiana, who was also very friendly and personable and arrived on time. Fabiana made us feel very comfortable and at home with her. Both guides took a bunch of pictures and made sure to take us to the best sites. Both were excellent. We would definitely recommend having a guide to Rio. We felt we were able to really maximize the time we had here and see the highlights in an easy, convenient and fun way that was customized to our interests. Also would definitely suggest upgrading for the fast pass, we breezed right by a 2 hour line. If you have limited time don’t spend it in line!
