Quitandinha Palace Congress and Convention Center
The Quitandinha Palace is one of the most beautiful and imposing sights in the city of Petrópolis, It began to be built in 1941 and was completed in 1944 to be one of the largest hotel casinos in South America. The palace has 440 apartments, 13 lounges up to 10 meters high and a dome of Salão Mauá measuring 30 meters in height and 50 meters in diameter. In addition to the huge construction, the Quitandinha Palace has a large lake in front of its façade in the shape of the map of Brazil. During the lake’s
construction, much of the sand was brought from Copacabana beach. During its period of operation, the hotel received many distinguished people such as: Henry Fonda, Carmen Miranda, Walt Disney, as well as politicians such as Getúlio Vargas and Evita Perón.   
Be delighted with its Hollywood-style Rococo architecture and gorgeous decoration inside.

Imperial Museum
The Imperial Museum, popularly known as the Imperial Palace, is a historical-themed museum, it was the refuge of the imperial family in the summer. Walking through the palace halls is like moving into a history book. Everything seems intact, as if Dom Pedro II and his family still frequented the place. Walking through the halls is like traveling inside a history book. One of the thrones used by Dom Pedro II is in the State Room, the feeling is that the emperor can enter there at any time. In the attached hall, there are carriages and the locomotive that made the route Rio de Janeiro-Juiz de Fora by the Estrada de Ferro Mauá. The garden values construction even more. In the jewelry room. It is impossible not to be impressed with the scepter made for the consecration of D. Pedro I, with the crown of diamonds and pearls of D. Catedral de Sao Pedro de Alcantara
Dedicated to the patron saint of Brazil, the cathedral of Petrópolis is one of the most important neo-Gothic constructions in the country. Inside, the Mausoleum where the remains of the Imperial Family stand (Dom Pedro II, Dona Teresa Cristina, Princess Isabel and Conde D`Eu, his firstborn D. Pedro de Alcântara and his wife D. Elisabeth). The Gothic altar contains relics of Saint Magno, Santa Aurélia and Santa Tecla, brought from Rome by Cardinal D. Sebastião Leme. There are works carved in Carrara marble, highlighting the Imperial Chapel which is located on the right at the main entrance of the Cathedral.

Museu Casa de Santos Dumont
It was the summer residence of Alberto Santos Dumont, Father of Aviation, being known as “A Encantada” - The Enchanted. The museum has a collection of objects, books, letters and furniture, as well as the shower and the entrance staircase, with steps in the shape of a racket, which can only be accessed starting on the right foot. At the 14 bis Cultural Center, attached to the Casa, you can watch a short film about Santos Dumont. The space has accessibility and tactile models for visitors with special needs. Alberto Santos Dumont was a great Brazilian inventor, born in Minas Gerais, on 1873, and died on 1932, after seeing São Paulo being bombed by airplanes in the 1932 revolution. Built in 1918, It was designed and planned by Alberto Santos Dumont with the help of an engineer. Encantada reveals much of Santos Dumont's personality. A large room served as both a library and an office; on the lower floor, his workshop and laboratory, on the top, bathroom and bedroom.

Cervejaria Bohemia
In the old brewery of Cervejaria Bohemia, from 1853, the first of its kind in Brazil. The tour is an interactive journey through the history, art and science of brewing. Find out all about beer from ancient times to the present day. Taste Bohemia direct form the source and live the whole experience in a modern and interactive environment. The Brewery Bohemia also has an emporium, a bar, and restaurant for you to enjoy all of their special beers with tasty dishes and snacks.

Crystal Palace
Walk over to a quiet park and feast your eyes on the Crystal Palace, a ballroom of glass and steel with chandeliers, all built and imported from France by Count D’Eu, as a gift to Princess Isabel, his wife. It was opened in 1884 to house exhibitions of flowers, birds and agricultural products. Today it hosts cultural events and exhibitions.
