We had a really good time with Gustavo he knows the area very well we felt very safe in the favela everyone knew him in that area and he knew all the dodgy parts and all the good parts Gustavo was like a homie he treated us like we were his friends and I hope to see him again when I come back to Brazil.

Favela experience

I have been travelling recently and this experience that Gustavo provided is the most incredible one I have had in my life so far. I was able to immerse myself into the experience of the favelas and the people, a beautiful experience. Gustavo character is very genuine and caring, this adds to the amazing experience, with his connections in Rochina you are able to see a lot of Rochina. I would recommend this experience if you want to immerse yourself into Brazilian culture.

A charming tour of Rocinha

Gustavo is the best guide we could’ve hoped for!! His knowledge of the favela shows he was born and raised in Rocinha. This tour shows you the beauty but also the reality of people living in the favela with the challenges they encounter. The views from the top of the hill were amazing. Would definitely recommend!!

The tour was extraordinarily mindblowing and oherwhelming. Ist was by far the best tour during my stay in brazil and rio. Gustavo lets you immerse yourself in this unbelievable world and shows you that you don't have to be afraid of a favela. I felt very safe at all times and still had a lot of adventures. A Rio Must-Do

Had a great time with Gustavo learning about the favelas. Gustavo is a local who knows a lot of the residents, I never felt unsafe and he always made me feel welcome. The highlight was watching a class of children dance-fighting (forgot the name), but the whole tour, from navigating the alleyways to learning about the culture, was eye-opening and enlightening. This is a must-do when in Rio.
