Overview

Embark on this full-day Rio de Janeiro City Tour with a guide and visit Rio de Janeiro's top landmarks and highlights.
We visit to Corcovado Mountain and the Christ the Redeemer statue going through the Paineiras route. The 20-minute drive to the base of the statue takes you through the Tijuca Forest and gives you a preview of the landscapes ahead. The statue stands 710 meters tall and from this vantage point, you’ll have sweeping views of the city.
We also visit the Sugar Loaf. The cable car ride to the top of the mountain is done in 2 stages: begin at the boarding station to Urca Mountain (224 meters) and then from Urca Mountain to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain (395 meters).
Let’s also stop at the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Arcos da Lapa with the traditional Selarón Staircase, the Sambadrome and the Maracanã Stadium.

Football - or soccer, if you prefer - is part of the Brazilian life. We love to watch the games and share experiences with complete strangers that get together for one purpose: support their team on the field. The Maracanã Stadium is considered our temple and a sacred place for those who enjoy a great game. We can take pictures outside of the Stadium and share stories about our favorite matches.

Great tour!

Will start of with the most important aspect of this tour, my guide, Monica Francesca. She is one of the better guides I have met anywhere on the world and she made sure she does whatever she can to make the whole group’s experience more than worthwhile. Even at the buffet restaurant for dinner, she wasn’t willing to sit down to eat till she ensured everyone got back with food and had a seat. Super friendly, funny and immensely knowledgeable, Monica is the highlight of the tour!

This was a fabulous tour. Our guide was super friendly, learned our names and took good care of us. The driver was professional and safe in heavy traffic. The sites were amazing and the lunch was satisfying. I give this only 4 stars because the lines were horrific at Sugar Loaf which could not be helped because of the massive crowds. But the sites were worth the wait in the end. Hang in there and be flexible! Picking us up and dropping at our hotel was a great service.
