Parque Lage
Designed in 1840 by English landscaper John Tyndale, the beautiful romantic European-style garden shares the spotlight with the native Atlantic Forest. Also noteworthy are the imperial palm trees, the artificial lakes and islands, in addition to the caves scattered throughout the park and the aquariums embedded in the walls with various fish.
In the main building of the space, a mansion of the century. XIX, operates the School of Visual Arts of Parque Lage (EAV) and the Bistro Plage offers a delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner with organic products that can be enjoyed alongside the art and music events that take place on site throughout the year.

We were very pleased with the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. In addition to the scheduled sites, she gave us a bit of a city tour. She also took care of the photography and sent us the best of the pictures. All in all, it was a great tour.
Renata was waiting for us in the hotel lobby as our port to hotel transfer did a no-show. She was patient, polite and did what she could to help us get out of a state of chaos. The bus that took us to the botanical garden was large and comfortable. On our way, Renata's appreciation for Rio exuded as she explained the uniqueness of Rio. Although we had a 90 year old grandma, a senior that required wheelchair assistance and 2 kids ages 8 and 3, everyone had a relaxing time. Lastly, we received a DVD the following day as promised. I would recommend her high caliber service to anyone.
El clima no nos favoreció pero ella fue muy amable y el mal tiempo no fue impedimento para recorrer el Jardín Botánico y conocerlo de una forma diferente.
