A visit to the Cristo Redentor monument by Morro do Corcovado! The statue of Christ the Redeemer is one of the greatest symbols of the State of Rio de Janeiro, undoubtedly the best known worldwide as one of the 7 wonders, it is present in all representations of the Marvelous City. Inaugurated on October 12, 1931, on the day of Our Lady of Aparecida, Cristo Redentor is a statue of reinforced concrete and soapstone 30 meters high, not counting the 8 meters of the pedestal, and its arms stretch for an incredible 28 meters wide.

The statue weighs 1145 tons and is the third largest sculpture of Jesus Christ in the world.

Mirante Dona Marta
Dona Marta Lookout:

Located 360 meters above sea level, Mirante Dona Marta is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Rio de Janeiro.
