Overview

Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon

You'll be met at your hotel by your private guide and head to the base of Corcovado Mountain by car, passing by Rio's beaches and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon on the way.

Corcovado - Christ the Redeemer

Reaching the Cosme Velho district, you'll take a unique Swiss cogwheel train that climbs the mountain from its base to nearly the summit. The very top is reached by climbing a flight of stairs to arrive at the iconic Christ the Redeemer Statue. The view, from this vantage point, with the surrounding Tijuca National Forest spreading below and a circle of mountains closing the horizon at the very back of the Guanabara bay is truly spectacular. After some time to walk around and take photos, we make the way back down.

Santa Teresa

We then head towards to the bohemian Santa Teresa neighborhood, home to a collection of local boutiques and galleries. Was a great tour with Alex Feliciano! I only have 6 hrs in between after landed and before next stop, he made a good plan for me to explore rio! He explained a lots of history and fun facts of touristy spots, took a good pics for me. It was a great experience with this tour.!

Despite travel difficulties, expensive airline tickets, and the complexities of the Corona pandemic
My friends and I decided to travel to Rio de Janeiro ... after we heard that the vaccination against covid-19 is ready and that the general vaccination campaign will start
We arrived at the Rio international airport (GIG) and our tour guide Camila Feher greeted us with all her elegance and wide smile saying welcome. I am very happy today to meet you for two reasons.
The first one is because I will work with you today after a long break because of covid-19
And the second reason is your group is an important sign for us that tourism will return back to life and will win the war against this pandemic...and that I will never lose my job that I love .as tour guide never ever .... The words of Camilla Feher, our tour guide on that day, were very very impressive...
On our way to the hotel in Copacabana, we passed a road parallel to the ocean and we saw wonderful views, quiet beaches, beautiful colors, and clear sky.... Camila described to us precisely everything we saw and reviewed the history of each region or monument we passed by, such as the local airport Santos Dumont , the yacht harbor In Gloria, the beautiful beach of Flamingo, opposite the famous Sugarloaf Mountain to BotaFogo, and on our right at the top of the Corcovado Mountain, the statue of Christ spread his hands towards us ... We felt as if he was welcoming us and protecting us .... He made us feel really safe ..
The next day was really an excellent tourist day especially since we were very lucky first because Camilla Feher was our tour guide and secondly that the weather was wonderful and at the end of our day we visited the statue of Christ the Redeemer and prayed in its chapel located under the feet of the statue. We prayed for the protection of this beautiful country and for the protection of all humanity. From this deadly epidemic...
Thank you Brazil.... Thank you Rio de Janeiro.... Thank you Camila Feher ... We will meet soon again and again
