Spend a relaxing day swimming and having fun in the sun at some of Rio’s top beaches on this day tour. Located only about 1 hour from Copacabana area, the exuberant beaches of Prainha and Grumari are free of high-rise buildings, protected by the vegetation of the Atlantic Forest, and have clear waters.

Take in a scenic drive along winding roads and see some spectacular scenery along the way. Listen to commentary from your guide and learn more about the area.

Relax on the beach in a quieter atmosphere a bit off the main tourist track. Be closer to nature, take a swim, or plant yourself in a beach chair and soak up the sun.

Have an unforgettable lunch at a rustic seafood restaurant built in a treehouse in the rainforest.

After having such a delightful day, have brief stop to taste the original delicious cachaça at the only distillery in Brazil to produce it without heavy metals and superior alcohols.

At the end of the tour, you’re dropped off at same location where the tour started.

What To Expect

Rio de Janeiro
Our vehicle will pick you up with a tour guide. The guide shares with you information along the route through beautiful landscapes and most of Rio's beaches such as Copacabana, Ipanema, Arpoador, Leblon, São Conrado, Barra da Tijuca, Recreio, Praia da Macumba and Prainha.

The route goes through some winding roads with incredible sceneries laying beside the ocean, locations ideal for photo stops and contemplation.

Spend a few hours beachfront eating appetizers and having delicious caipirinhas sold at kiosks in the region. Head out for swims and lounge around on the sand to get a tan.

Unlike the beaches in the south of Rio such as Copacabana and Ipanema that have greater visibility, the exuberant beach of Prainha are free of high-rise buildings, protected by the hills and rocks that surround it and covered by the abundant vegetation of the native Atlantic Forest.

3 hours • Admission Ticket Free

Praia de Grumari
Spend some time at another beautiful beach nearby. Grumari Beach is one of those beaches that is still a real tip and it’s not well known by tourists.

Here, you can enjoy peace and tranquility surrounded by hills and the deep green of the Atlantic Forest. The fine sand along the 3-kilometer-long beach is slightly darker, which, combined with the wild landscape, creates a stunning backdrop for this day trip.

Excellent trip for a relaxing day outside Rio de Janeiro City.
mariagtome, 21-12-2020
I recommend this tour if you want to relax while you enjoy a fantastic day on a beatiful beach just outside Rio City.

We were picked up by Rodrigo (driver) and Bruno (the guide). We stopped at the Leblon Mirante, where Bruno explained everything about landscape and the itinerary. The plan was to get to Prainha and Grumari Beach though the coast line, have lunch, and come back through the city road, stopping at the Olimpic Venue and posibly at a Cachaca Factory.

During the road trip to Grumari beach, we had such a nice view of the amazing beaches alongside the coastline, and the ocean. Bruno told us about the landmarks and the city. He is such a nice and polite guys, we had a lot of fun with him.

We did not stop on Prainha beach, it was too crowded. We spend the day on Grumari Beach. Bruno gave us the option to stayed longer and we loved the idea, even though we knew we were compromising other stops we planed to make. We are gratefull to Gregtur for letting us adjust the trip to our needs.

We had lunch at Tropicana Restaurant, the food was delicious (vegan option available). The terrace overlooks a Manglar and you could see crabs walking all over the place. It was fantastic.

We got home safe and sound thanks to Rodrigo, who is an excellent driver and such a nice and funny guy. The van was spotless, fully equiped with air-condicionate and snacks.

Renato, was the organizer of the trip. He contacted us as soon as we booked the trip and made sure everything and smoothly.
