The tour itself was well-planned and ran smoothly from start to finish. We were able to see firsthand how the residents live and work on a daily basis. It was eye-opening to see the poverty and lack of resources that many of these communities face, but it was also inspiring to see how they have created strong, tight-knit communities and found ways to thrive despite the challenges they face.
One of the highlights of the tour was visiting a rooftop restaurant in the favela. The views from the top were breathtaking, and it was amazing to see how the residents had created such a vibrant and lively community in the midst of such challenging circumstances.
Another highlight of the tour was visiting a local community park and seeing the positive impact that green space can have on these communities. It was truly heartwarming to see the children playing in a safe environment.
